Marguerite Schumm

Marguerite is an Art Director and Graphic Designer who thrives at the intersection of 2D and 3D. Through the use of design, she enjoys orienting people and connecting them to their environment; whether it be brick and mortar, natural or digital.

Her professional training began at Syracuse University where she studied Industrial & Interaction Design. Always interested in expanding her horizons, she recently received a Studio Certificate in Communication Design at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.

She has delivered strategic creative solutions for B2B and B2C projects including: brand identity, outreach campaigns, wayfinding, environmental exhibits, packaging, and digital work. Her portfolio includes work with Fortune 500 companies, public sector clients, non-profits, and consultancy projects. She has a special interest in accessibility-focused design to ensure her products can reach the largest possible audience. Marguerite currently works as an Art Director at Alta Planning + Design in Portland, Oregon.

Her free time is devoted to freelance design, entering historical diorama competitions, and backcountry and international travel—where she seeks to orient and connect herself in new environments.
